Adding a background color

- [Instructor] The next thing that we want to do with our brochure is to add some background color, as we see here in the final version. Now when we do this, we are going to be reducing the contrast and potentially the readability of the text. So we would need to make sure that there's enough contrast between the text color and the background color. I'm going to come to my Layers panel, select the Pictures layer, Command + Option, or Control + Alt, and click on Create New Layer, which I will call Background, and that will go beneath the Pictures layer. I'll now select this, and because it's going to be slightly different from one spread to the next, I'm not going to put it on the master page, but rather I'll do it on one of the document pages and then copy it to the other. I'll tap M to go to my rectangle tool and then W to show my guides because I need to draw this from bleed guide to bleed guide. Before I do so,…
