Capturing a character style in a running head

- [Instructor] I have a dictionary here or maybe it's a glossary but you get the idea and i want to add a running head at the top of this page on the right. You know something that lists the first and last entries on the page. And the way to do this, is with a text variable and the text variable needs to be based on a paragraph style or a character style on the page. Now in this case, the text on the page is styled with a character style. We can see that by selecting some of this text, then going to the window menu, choosing styles and then choosing character styles. Now the character style is not selected up here in a list of character styles. But it does appear down here at the bottom of the panel. See where it starts running head? That means the style running head is being applied automatically by something like a nested style, or a GREP style or something like that. Something inside the paragraph…
