Color space

- [Instructor] When you're working with images, you need to be mindful of color space. And what do I mean by color space? You've probably seen this acronym RGB. It stands for red, green, blue, and those are colors of light. That's how your monitor's working right now. Light is coming at you, it's composed of red, green, and blue light. It's how we as humans perceive reality and it's how your digital camera and your scanner thing. Here's red when it's combined with green and we're thinking of this as sort of a dark room with spotlights shining on top of each other. Notice that where the green overlaps the red, it creates yellow, let's keep going. When we add blue, notice that where blue overlaps red, it makes magenta. Where it overlaps green, it makes cyan and where they all overlap, that makes white.
