Convert local formatting to styles
- [Instructor] I've mentioned a number of times that the best practice for exporting EPUBs is to ignore local overrides, and that is an option in the export to EPUB dialogue box that we'll look at in a second. A local override is something like this, I'm looking at a document that I created, WhitePaper styles, and if zoom in, you'll see that here is text that has some italics and some bold and some bold italics. But if I go to the paragraph styles panel and I turn on the option to show me anything that has an override, everything that has been done has an override that is manually formatted, not coming from a style, is highlighted in blue. When you export to EPUB and you say ignore local overrides, it's going to ignore the formatting that you added here as a local override. You can also tell here that there's a plus symbol, so when you see a plus symbol, that means there's a local override, and it tells me here, it is italic.
