Create chapter breaks
- [Instructor] When you're reading in EPUB on your eBook device or software, you want the chapters normally to start at the top of the page, just like they start at the top of the page here, in InDesign, in the print version or the PDF version. It's very disconcerting to have the chapter start down here. But that is not what InDesign does by default; it's not that smart. You have to actually create a couple of different settings here to do so. So let me show you a before and after. We're not doing anything special right now with the chapter names and notice they are all linked to each other so it's one long thread. Now if I go to Export and I export to ECGardens-chapters onto the desktop as a reflowable. We're still going to use our Navigation TOC, based on page layout, all that is the same html, we're not preserving local overrides; that's the best practice.
