- [Instructor] Here, I need to create a design that's going to print on my in-house printer, but then fold up to be a tri-fold brochure. And that means I need to figure out how wide my main panels are, and then how wide my short trim panel is going to be, because remember, all three panels can't be the same dimensions, or it'll buckle when I fold it up. So the short story here, and again, don't be frightened by the math is that I figured out what my short trim value is. And that's an eighth of an inch, 0.125. I add it to my full size width, and then divide by three. And that gives me the width of my full-size panel. So that's all I need to remember right now is that 3.708. Let's go to File, New Document. Going to change the width here to 3.708. Tab around and 8.5 for the height. Uncheck facing pages, and make it six pages. Why six? It's going to be three for the outside of the brochure, the three panels, and then three…
