- [Instructor] When you create a gradient that goes from a color to black this is what you might see. There's this sort of gray fade out in the middle that's really not attractive. But it's actually pretty easy to fix. I'm going to select this object, go to my swatches panel and I see that it's using this gradient swatch, red, black gradient process. I'll double click on that and you can see that it's using something called hen red at the right stop and then just plain old black at the left stop. So here's what I can do, it's going to look a little weird for a second. What I need is for that hen red to also be used under the black over here. So what I'm going to do is I've got that little stop selected, I'm going to choose my hen red. Now it's just a red to red gradient. Really not interesting, but I'm going to change the recipe for this by switching stop color from swatches to CMYK so I can control the recipe. All I'm…
