Creating a custom workspace

- [Instructor] One of the areas of InDesign that you use every time you open the program is the workspace. Now InDesign comes with a default workspace, a few of them actually, but these workspaces were created as a very generic starting point. In my opinion, every InDesign user should create and save a custom workspace to create a working area tailored to how each user works. This is by no means a new feature, but it's one that often gets overlooked. So let's walk through the process of creating and saving a custom workspace now. Now I'm starting this video with no document open and I'm currently viewing the Home screen. I'm going to go ahead and click on the InDesign icon to switch over to the InDesign workspace. Now you can access your workspaces by going to the Window menu and choosing Workspace or by clicking on the workspace switcher icon and choosing the workspace that you want to use.
