- [Instructor] We draw objects in InDesign all the time for a variety of different reasons. But there are some techniques that you can use to give you more control and draw those objects more accurately. Let's take a closer look. I'm going to go ahead and zoom in on this first page of the first spread, because on this page, I'm going to draw a perfect circle in the middle of this background. Then to make this a bit easier, I'm going to switch over to normal view to get out of preview mode. And I'm going to go ahead and grab my Ellipse tool. Now, normally, when you draw with any shape, you're always drawing from one of the corners. So, I have a tendency to draw from the upper left, but you can draw from the upper right, from the lower right, or from the lower left, it really doesn't matter. Now, I want this circle to be white. So, I'm going to go ahead and change my swatch color to paper. And, for this example, because I want…
