Essential tools for ebook design
- [Instructor] It's not enough just to have Adobe InDesign to make your EPUBs, you also have to have a way to see the EPUBs on your computer as you're working and if you're on a Mac as you know you get iBooks and you can immediately see 'em there. But as I said in another video, especially for Windows users, you don't have iBooks on Windows so you need to get Adobe Digital Editions. You actually need to get a few different pieces of software to assemble them together because once you export to EPUB, you need to see what it's gonna look like, get a rough proof on your screen, you might need to have software that can expand or crack them open for you to get at the internal files and you very likely will want to be able to get at the inside of those files, the components, and edit them. So you need software to do all that. That's how you put your entire suite together.
