- [Instructor] Just like Adobe InDesign, does Adobe Illustrator offer similar ways to import multiple types of swatches? Here, I currently have two documents open. I have a cakes.ai file, which holds three swatches that I find interesting. One is a cake pattern, the second one is a candy pattern, and the third one is just a regular gradient. Now these swatch types are not supported by the ASE swatch exchange file format, which means that I will need a different way to bring these into Adobe Illustrator. Now I know that a lot of designers tend to just select everything, copy and then paste that into Adobe Illustrator, But, of course, there's a cleaner way to do this. So what I'll do is the following. I'll head into my cover.ai file and I'll be using the Swatches panel. I'll click the panel menu and I'll move all the way down and choose Open Swatch Library.
