Font concerns
- [Instructor] When you look at this page, there's nothing to make you suspicious, except maybe the ugly type setting, but I'm going to tell you that there's a little problem lurking under the hood. It's rare, but it could blindside you if you don't know what's going on. I'll go up to Type and choose Find/Replace Font. And I'm using three fonts, Bauhaus, Cleargothic, and Minion Pro. When I click more info and then choose Bauhaus, here's the problem, sort of hiding in plain sight. Restrictions cannot embed in PDF or EPS. And think how frequently you need to submit a PDF to the printer. Well what happens if you go ahead and create a PDF anyway? What's going to happen in that outgoing PDF? Let's take a look. Here in Acrobat, you can tell that the text looks a little bit different.
