Handling corrections and alterations

- [Instructor] Of course you'd like your job to be perfect but you have to expect some corrections and alterations. Things do change. But who pays for the change? Well, it depends. There's something called Artist's Alterations, often abbreviated as AAs. So these are things such as design changes. Hey, you know what? Let's make that type bluer or correcting errors. If you spelled something wrong, you don't want to be saying, "Stop the presses." You want to find that much earlier in the process. In these cases, the designer could fix the problem and then there is no cost except possibly to the deadline if these are extensive corrections or you can have the printer perform the fixes and there might be a little bit of cost added to the printing job. And then there are Printer Alterations, also called PAs. That might include slightly changing the dimensions of a job to fit on another press. You might never notice the difference…
