Hiding and showing content with buttons
- [Instructor] I have my interactive document file open from the exercise files folder. And I'm going to jump to page 5 by pressing command j on the Mac or control j on Windows, then hitting 5 and enter or return. And one of the most commonly requested interactive behaviors that I hear people asking for is how do I make an object appear or disappear on my page? For example, I have these four overlapping images on the page and I only want one of them to be visible at a time. The other pieces of art should be hidden until I click on one of these buttons along the left side of the page. Now this seems impossible to do with InDesign until you learn one really simple trick. You need to turn all of these objects into buttons. InDesign can only hide and show another button. So, I'm going to select all of these objects over here just by dragging the marquee over them. Then I'm going to open my buttons and forms panel and I'm going to click on the make a button button down here at the bottom…
