InDesign to EPUB workflow: An overview
- [Instructor] I always like to show people what the entire workflow looks like from start to end in creating EPUBs from InDesign. It's not as simple as just exporting to EPUB and you're good to go. You actually have to do quite a bit of prep for the InDesign file, first of all, and I would say at least half of this course are all about the prep steps in order to get a good looking EPUB at the end. And we're gonna look at structure and text formatting and image formatting. Changes that you usually need to make to any InDesign document that was originally designed for print or web or even if you're starting from scratch with a manuscript from an author and you pour that into InDesign, how you need to prep it. So you prepare the InDesign file first and then you export it to EPUB. Yay! And you saw me doing that a bunch of times and we'll go through all those options in the dialogue box for EPUB options in a later video.
