- [Instructor] We saw how well a table of contents works when you export to EPUB, they are linked in the resulting EPUB, and there's lots of other places where InDesign can create infrastructure in a long document that ends up being very useful in an EPUB. And specifically I'm gonna look at three of them in this video, endnotes, footnotes, and indexes. Footnotes and indexes have been around awhile, and if you are not sure how to create those, I recommend that you go to the online training library and check out my friend Mike Rankin's course, InDesign, Creating Long Documents where he has a full chapter called long document infrastructure where he talks about using cross references, and footnotes, and making fake endnotes, because when he recorded this title, InDesign hadn't yet come out with its own dynamic endnote feature, and we're gonna look at that in this video.
