Introduction to building your artwork for print

- [Claudia] Once you have some idea of what happens in printing processes, I think you're a bit better prepared to create documents that will print successfully, but it's still helpful to know some tips for using the Adobe applications you use every day when designing. Hi, I'm Claudia McCue, and I've been using Adobe programs since 1991. My background is in pre-press, that's all the prep work that ensures that artwork is correctly built for successful printing. In this course, I'm going to pass on to you the pitfalls I've discovered in the programs you use every day along with some easy workarounds and some tips so that your design process can move more smoothly to a perfect job at the printing company. I think you'll find these tips useful as you create work for print, whether you're a designer, a production artist or a pre-press operator dealing with client files. The goal is still the same for everyone. Use the software without causing problems when the job hits the press.
