Knock a hole in an object

- [Instructor] On top of this image I've placed a pink box and this round graphic frame and I'd like to use that circle to punch a hole in the pink box so that I can see through it. Now there are two different ways to do this in InDesign and I'm going to show you both of them. First, I'll select both of those objects by selecting the first one and then shift clicking on the other. Then, to make a duplicate of it, I'm going to hold down the option or alt key and just simply drag those down. I'm making two of them so that I can show you both methods. Let's go select these two objects again. Now whenever you have two or more objects, you can apply what are called pathfinder effects to them. You can find those in a couple of places. First, you could go to the Object menu and come down here to the Pathfinder sub menu. In this case we want Subtract. But before I choose that, the second way that you could find those is by…
