- [Instructor] - Like all design projects, a brochure requires planning. Here are some suggested steps. Gather similar brochures. Pick them up, keep them on file, the good and the bad. Ask yourself what works and what doesn't and why. Make yourself a mood board. I prefer to do this through Pinterest. If you don't already have a free Pinterest account, I highly recommend that you get one. Make yourself a board for each of your project, and you can pin to this board anything that you find inspirational. Write the text, assuming that you are the person doing the writing. In writing the text, keep it concise. Make sure there is a clear hierarchy and divide it into digestible chunks. Use devices like subheads and bullets to make the text more approachable.
