Putting text on a path
- [Instructor] I get asked this question all the time. How do I get texts on a path instead of inside it? For example, inside this magazine document, from the exercise files. I'm going to press Option or Alt + Page Up a couple of times to jump to an earlier spread. And see this path here, I'm going to Select it and Zoom into 200% by pressing Command + Two or Control + Two on Windows. Now I'm going to be talking about, how to draw paths like this in a later chapter. But for now, let's just put some texts along this curve. At first, you'd think you'd want to use the normal Type tool to put texts on a path, but I'll tell you now it won't work. The regular Type tool can only put text into a frame, not on the outside of it. Instead you have to use the Type on a Path tool, but where the heck is that?
