Saving as a PDF

- Here's a fun, little secret about Illustrator. Under the hood it's native tongue is PDF and that's why when it's time to make a PDF, you don't choose export or print. It's just file save as. So let's look at the options under file, save as. I'm just going to put this on my desktop. I choose for type, Adobe PDF. But, remember where you saved it because you may forget this in the excitement. This is where you determine where you save the file and what you name it. When you click save, then you have to choose your export options. So let's talk about which options are beneficial for print. The default that you're presented with is Illustrator default. So that sounds like that would be perfect, right. It's actually not perfect for print. Notice this option preserve Illustrator editing capabilities, that sounds great. It means that if you create a PDF using this recipe, you can open it back up in Illustrator and edit it.…
