Setting InDesign preferences

- [Instructor] If you make changes to your preferences with no document open that affects all future new documents that you create. So let me show you a few changes I like to make and I'll leave it up to you what you'd like to change. To go to preferences on windows, you go to edit and then down to preferences. On the Mac, you go up to the InDesign icon and choose preferences there. But once you do that, it's the same on both platforms. Start by going to general. If you like this home screen that shows you your recently opened files and gives you the opportunity to view some videos leave that checked. Now, if you've been using InDesign for a long time and you liked the previous new document dialogue you might want to check this. Under interface you can control how bright your interface is, I leave it at the default. Here's something I really like to change though. The default is for your pace board to match the theme…
