- [Instructor] Styles allow you to base one style on another style. There are times when this makes a lot of sense, but often people use this feature inadvertently. Let's talk more about this feature, how it works, and when to and when not to use it. So I'm beginning here on this spread, and I created this because this often what we'll do when we're setting up styles for our document. We'll kind of begin laying it out, often times with warm ups in text, just to try to create the styles that we want to use in our design. So what I'm going to do here is I'm starting with a headline up here, but what I'm going to do is I'm going to hit Return, and then I'm going to have like a declaration, or a DEK if you will, and so I'm just going to type something like you know, DEK goes here with more text, you know whatever.
