- [Instructor] My next step in the creation of the annual report document is to create the grid. If we look at the finished version, I'll turn on my guides by pressing W. Here is our basic two column grid. But I also, on a separate layer, have imposed on top of this, a 12 column grid. And also, I'm using a base-line grid, to which the baselines of most of the type are aligned. I can turn that on by pressing command, option or control, alt and the quote mark. So, I'm going to come to the work in progress and I will create a new layer for the grid, and this is just because having all those lines on at all times can just be a bit visually confusing. So by putting on it's own grid, we can turn it on and off as necessary. I want to make sure that I'm adding the grid lines to my master page spread, so that they show up on all of the document pages.
