- [Instructor] In this movie, I'm going to talk about Illustrator's Touch Type tool, a fantastic and somewhat underused part of Illustrator's tool set. Let's come to my Layers panel, and I'll turn off those top three layers and turn on this layer that contains the starting point for the type. Now, this tool is great for giving your type a more organic, slightly less than perfect, slightly more human look. I'll start by selecting this type, and I'm just going to scale it relative to each other. So I'm selecting each piece of type, and that's my first point really. It's going to be easier if you work with each piece of type as a separate type object. So having got the type roughly into position, I'll now come to my Type tools. I'll click and hold down, and I'll tear off that Type panel. My Touch Type tool is the last one. I'll choose that, and then I can click on the characters one by one.
