- [Instructor] I've received this file from a client and they've assured me that it's ready to go to the printer but I'm going to give it one last check before I submit the job. To do that, I'm going to go to Tools, scroll down and choose Print Production. Now it's added the Print Production Tools over here on the right hand pane. So take a good look at the page. It looks okay. One of the most useful parts of Print Production is this option for Output Preview. So click on that. It's kind of giant on my screen. Notice that that white text disappeared. If you notice up here at the top, it says Simulate Overprinting. If I turn that off, the text comes back. Why would overprint make white text disappear? Well, I will tell you that white set to overprint essentially becomes transparent. Why would anybody do that? You will probably never encounter this.
