- [Instructor] Have you ever made some text bold only to find that it's too bold and you wish there were a semi-bold? Or maybe it wasn't quite bold enough and you wished you could really beef it up more. Well I want to introduce you to the magical world of variable fonts in which you can make all kinds of micro-adjustments to get just the look you want. Let's select this text down here with a type tool. It looks just like the font Myriad, right? But you can see up here in the Control Panel, or over in the Properties Panel, that this font is actually something called Myriad Variable Concept. And here inside the Style menu, you can see that there are a lot of versions, more than the usual font, right? Well these are just the tip of the iceberg. Now each one of these is called an instance of the font. So for example I could choose semi-bold and it makes it darker. But maybe I want it a little lighter than this, so here's…
