- [Instructor] Now that we have some possible directions to move forward with there are several techniques that you can use to showcase and present your design to the client. The initial sketches that you worked out need to be pared down and set into a format that allows the client to judge the designs and begin to see how this would look like at retail for the consumer. To begin with work on the front panels and utilize Adobe Illustrator, an industry standard design software perfect for packaging design. You can also use InDesign, but I prefer Adobe Illustrator for this kind of work. Make sure you are working on the exact size of the packaging solution, as that will be imperative at this stage. You need to be working with a size that will clearly depict how the overall look will be. The graphics can be flat and straight forward without any extra detail and that will do the job to help choose a direction or directions to move forward with.
