- [Instructor] You know what I always do when a client gives me an InDesign file and says, "I need an eBook made outta this." Do I go through and inspect every last living thing? No. I just go ahead and export to EPUB. It's a good way to see what are the problems that you need to fix. I'm gonna show you that in this video, to go through most of the common prep steps that you need to do to an InDesign file in order to get a good-looking, workable, accessible EPUB out of it. So to show you proof of concept, I have the same, exact document open in two different windows. Well, not exactly the same. Because this one I've prepped for EPUB export. You can see it says Prepped. This one I have not prepped for EPUB export. But it looks exactly the same, doesn't it? In fact, if I use this handy-dandy little split-screen button on the lower right, we could look at them side-by-side. And you can see that Not Prepped and Prepped look the same.
