What you should know

- [Anne-Marie] To get the most out of this course, to really enjoy it, you really don't need to know anything about ebooks or EPUB, but you do need to know something about InDesign, because I assume you know how to use InDesign and that you have a publication that you wanna convert into an ebook. Some ways to quickly get up to speed with InDesign here on the online training library is my friend and business partner David Blatner's courses, such as InDesign Quick Start, Learn InDesign in 30 Minutes. I also have a course on new features in CC 2018. And David has a full boat course called InDesign CC 2018 Essential Training that goes into all sorts of things about if you really wanna get up to speed quickly with InDesign. The first chapter is that Quick Start course. My friend Mike Rankin has an excellent course if you have never done a long document, which most ebooks are, in InDesign. If you've only done brochures and business cards, I really think that you should watch this course, at least some of it, Creating Long Documents, because here Mike goes into things like tables of contents and lists and styles and that kind of good stuff. And I love this course, EPUB Typography by my friend Nigel French, also available on the online training library, about making sure that the type that you're using in InDesign will look beautiful in the EPUB.
