Who is this course for?

- [Instructor] Who is this course for? If you're watching this, I expect you meet one of the following descriptions. You need to design your own logo. You have your own business venture or entity, maybe it's a sports team, organization, or band, for which you'd like to design a logo. Or you're somebody instructing a logo designer. It's part of your job to liaise with a graphic designer who is designing your logo. You want to be able to communicate your needs and expectations effectively. You want to understand any terminology or jargon your designer may use, as well as understand their methodology. Or thirdly, you are yourself a designer of logos. You're a graphic designer who wants to expand the range of services that you offer to include logo design. In the course of the next movies, I'll be talking about the things you need to consider when designing a logo. Knowing how the logo will be used, doing your research, generating ideas, making choices about type, shape, and color, and how to save and package your files. To keep things simple, this course assumes that you are designing a logo from scratch. We have a blank slate with no need to consider how to update an existing logo, or incorporate existing design elements.
