Applying lane zones

- Often you will need to accommodate multiple lanes to handle higher traffic volumes or more demanding conditions. Fortunately, Lane Zones make it easy to add and remove lanes at specific locations without having to break up your design. Let's take a look at how Lane Zones work. I've opened the Lynda Road model and chosen the Lane Zone proposal. I'll make a copy of that proposal and call it My_Lane_Zone and then finally I'll click the Lynda Road bookmark which gives me a 3D view of the road. Now what I'm interested in doing here is changing the number of lanes from a location about here out to the place where our road intersects the existing road. The idea being that maybe there are some future expansion plan for this road and we want to accommodate four lanes from about this point forward. So to get started I'll click the road and on the asset card that appears I want to change the Edit Mode to either Lanes Forward or Lanes Backward. In this case I want to do two lanes in both…
