Creating a material group

- Material groups are the basis for road styles so it's necessary to learn about them before creating or customizing your own road styles. Let's take a look at how to copy an existing material group and modify it for your needs. I've opened the Ch 05 Hotel Lynda model and I've chosen the material group proposal. For the bookmark, I'll choose Hotel SE Iso. I'll open the style palette by expanding the InfraWorks toolbar, clicking the Manage icon, and then clicking Style Palette. I wanna go to the Material Group tab but before we get too far into that, I wanna show you how to figure out what style and material group are being applied to the road for our project. To do that, I'll select the road, right click, and pick Properties. When I look at the properties of this road, I see that the style that's in use is listed next to Manual Style and it says Two Lane with Palms. So, what I'm ultimately after is what style is being used for the paved area of the roads? In other words, if I zoom in…
