- [Instructor] InfraWorks provides a vast library of GIS data formats that you can use when importing this data. Within the data sources panel, from the pull-down list, you have a vast library of different file formats you can bring in. But, it's also broken down on vector data versus raster data. So, for example, raster data, like a raster image is basically a mesh or pixels, that's being brought in, into the model. Vector data would be more like points, polygons or line work that's being brought into the model. So as you can see here I have in this model example, I have a lot vector data because it's representing line work or lines, or a 3-D object. While at the bottom I have an image for a raster file, that's actually an image. The terrain is also a raster file. It's actually coming in as one object, as a mesh, into the model.
