Importing imagery
- Aerial imagery is one of the most common and most helpful ways to get your bearings and to form a frame of reference for your model. Let's explore how to import aerial imagery into your model. To begin, I want to open the Ch 02 Hotel Lynda model. Now, if you don't see that model listed in your recently opened models in this area, you can simply click Open, browse to your Desktop, and then Exercise Files and find the Ch 02 Hotel Lynda.sqlite file and click Open. Next, we want to make sure that the Import_Imagery proposal is set current. And, finally, we'll press the "home" key on the keyboard to set our view to that initial home view. Now, if you've been working on other videos in this series, you may be wondering why this model seems so blank. Well, we're simulating the start of a model where you really don't have any data in it at all. One of the first sources of data that can be very useful to import is aerial imagery.
