Importing water feature data

- Water features are a great way to add detail and life to your InfraWorks model. Let's explore how to import data sources that represent water features along with how to properly configure them to get the best result. I have opened the Ch 02 Hotel Lynda model, and I've set the Import_Water_Features proposal as the current proposal. I'm also going to press the home key but since I'm already in home view, you won't see any change on your screen. If you do all those steps, you and I will be starting from the same point. I've got two sources of water feature data that I've gathered from The National Map Viewer, water areas and water flow lines. You have that data too. If you open Windows Explorer and go to your Desktop, Exercise Files, Data Sources, you'll see a folder called Hydro, and then within the Hydro folder, you'll see some California NHD data. There are two shapefiles here: areas and flow lines. We'll do areas first and nice and simple, we'll simply drag and drop that file right…
