- [Instructor] Material quantities is just another part of the design phase for designers when working with commercial and residential projects. So we're going to get some material quantities for this component road here. So we're going to click on this component road. At the bottom here, you see this calculator, it's actually the material quantities analysis tool. So if I click on this you'll see this quantity material dialog box comes up and this actually ran some material analysis for that component road. So we got the sidewalk, the curbing, the lanes, and the median for the grass. So here's our quantities. You can actually control what area you want to run the calculations for the materials. So right here I can turn this on. Now I can type in a station, say between station 500 and station 1,200. I can analyze the quantities within that road.
