Sketch a bridge pier in Inventor, part 1

- Following on from the template that you've just created in the previous video. What you want to do is make sure that you're on 3D model tab and then hit start 2D sketch. It's going to ask you what plane you want to start working in? So you can either choose a plane here. You can see this XY, this is YZ. This is XZ. I find it easier to go to origin and then just choose what I want from there. Just so that I don't accidentally hit anything else. What you want to do is you want to make sure that you're drawing in the XZ plane, so hit that. Now look at our little navigation cube over here. So we've got Z pointing this way, we don't want that. So just use the little arrows to spin at 90 degrees and here we can see that we have our XZ plane and that's where we're going to start drawing. So the first thing we're going to do, is we're going to start with align. So hit align, and then go to your origin point. So…
