Understanding the capabilities of the module
- Before you begin working with the InfraWorks Roadway Design module, it's important to know what it can do. How can it make your life easier, and how can it improve the success of your projects? Let's take a look at what Roadway Design for InfraWorks 360 has to offer. The first thing you'll notice is that roads that are created with this module have a different geometric approach. You'll see the horizontal curves represented with true radial curves and even spirals. In the vertical, you'll see true vertical curves, parabolic curves like you would find in a road design with engineering principles. If we take a look at a road created with the Core InfraWorks tools, we see something completely different, something we call a spline road, and we don't see that curved geometry either horizontally or vertically.
