- The newest photography craze is definitely food photography. I don't think there's ever been a time when we've taken more pictures of our food. People love to share what they had for lunch, so (laughing lightly) sometimes the pictures you take of your lunch don't look as appetizing as they did when you actually shot the picture. So I'm going to kind of talk through some of the ways you can improve your food photography. So let's go to Instagram first thing cause let's pretend like I'm at a restaurant and I'm about to share a picture that I took of my lunch. So add the picture by pushing a plus button in the middle. I'm going to scroll to find a picture of a piece of pizza. There we go. Push that up a little bit in the frame. I'm going to keep it a square and a click Next. First thing I do is go to edit and I go to the adjust button on the left to crop it and I'm going to straighten those lines and align them up with a grid.
