- [Instructor] When you share a photo or video to your Instagram feed, anyone who follows you will be able to view and comment on that post. But there may be times when you only want to share a photo with a certain person or a smaller specific group of people. Maybe the photo is an inside joke only certain people will get or maybe it's a family photo you only want to share with your family. Whatever the case, you can use a feature called Instagram Direct to send photos or videos or text messages to anyone you like. Basically, you want to look for the little paper airplane button. Anywhere you see that means you can send the item associated with it as a Direct Message. So as I scroll through my feed, you can see each one of the photos has that paper airplane button, and tapping the button lets me choose any of the people I follow to send this photo to.
