Project geometry

- [Instructor] We're now ready to look at how we can project geometry. This is one of those features that kind of falls between sketching and part modeling because while you'd be projecting edges into a sketch, you're most often projecting from part edges or part features. On the screen, you can Projecting Geometry.ipt, which is our start file. And it's very similar to the one we used during the work plane, work point and work axis sections. The difference is is there's no slice across this front edge and that's what we're going to create here and I'm going to show you three different ways to project geometry to help you with your designs. To begin, let's go ahead and right click and select New Sketch. And we'll select this top face on the model and we rotate into a planar view and we can pan up so that we can see it.
