Understand constraints
- [Instructor] As we get ready to begin creating geometries, it's important to take a moment and look at sketching constraints. There's two different kinds of sketch constraints. There's dimensional constraints and geometric constraints. And we're going to look at the geometric constraints now. On the screen, I have Sketch Practice.ipt open. It's a file I created to help make it a little bit easier to understand the constraints. If you don't have that open, go ahead and open it now. And then double click on the sketch in the browser to activate the current sketch. We're going to pan to center everything and let's actually zoom in so that we can see some of the geometry. What I've done is created six different setups that we can apply constraints to. We can apply horizontal, vertical, colinear, and then down below, we can do concentric, tangent and perpendicular.
