- [Instructor] As I previously described, you can install IntelliJ IDEA either using the JetBrains Toolbox application or by downloading the software from this webpage. I've chosen the community edition executable and I've downloaded it to my desktop. I'll double click to start it up. And after a brief verification step, I'll see the Windows user account control dialogue. I'll click yes. And now I'll be running the installer. On this screen, you're asked where you want to install the software and I'll accept the default under the program files directory. On the next screen, there are a number of options available. You can create a desktop shortcut, choose either 32 or 64 bits depending on which edition of Windows you have.
