Creating well-structured modular JavaScript

- [Sasha] JavaScript offers a lot of flexibility when it comes to creating functions, and a few different ways to structure classes and modules. But a few practices and patterns have emerged that makes some approaches better than others. Implementing best practices in your code and configuring tools to help you can enable you to write code that's more concise and easier to debug. And it can get you ready to contribute modular code to projects that expect you to adhere to certain common standards. In my LinkedIn learning course I explore best practices as laid out in some of the industry's most commonly referenced style guides. I also show you how to set up ESLint rules to flag deviations from styles you set and how to turn on features in your editor that can help format your code as you write and save it. I'm Sasha Vodnick, I'm a JavaScript developer and I've worked hard to stay abreast of what works and what doesn't when it comes to JavaScript code structure. Whether your approach is primarily functional or object-oriented, or perhaps a mix of both, functions and classes are mainstays of modern JavaScript development. If you want to strengthen your grip on the ins and outs of modern approaches to these structures, I invite you to join me for this course on JavaScript: Best Practices for Functions and Classes.
