The last, and perhaps most interesting of the iPad apps I'll describe is named Hopscotch. Hopscotch is made by the same group that made Daisy the Dinosaur, but it's intended for older kids, starting perhaps in third or fourth grade. Like Daisy, Hopscotch is free and available from the App Store. There's also a website for the app at gethopscotch.com. Here you'll find a link to the App Store. But also a lot of information and screen shots about the application. You can sign up for a mailing list on the screen to learn more about the app as it evolves. I am showing Hopscotch on an iPad Mini. When you first open up Hopscotch You'll either see this screen asking you to add an object or you might start at a project screen that looks like this. If you're on this screen you can touch the plus icon in the upper right and you'll be ready to create a new project. Like Daisy, Hopscotch lets kids build animations of cartoon like characters but you aren't limited to a single character. You can…
