Decoding charts and graphs

- In this video I'll walk you through a question that involves reading data from a graph. The new PSAT loves to mix normal math questions with charts and graphs to test your interpretive skills. Right here we have a graph with an associated question and a little passage to read. So remember, just like any graph, take a few moments to make sure you understand what the graph is depicting before you start to work with the question. So the thing to do is to check out the title of the graph, so right up here we have "Bacteria Growth," and of course, let's check at the axes. Looks like on the horizontal axis we have time in hours, and then on the vertical axis we have area in square centimeters. And then we can see that the lines on the graph give us data points showing the relationship between time and area covered. So let's take a look at the question here.
