- Experience perks are personal, relevant and unique rewards to offer your backers. But they should be carefully considered. Here's a few ideas. Hold a Hangout or Skype online with a cast or crew member. You could do this on set or during the pre- or post-production process. Hold an in person meeting with cast and crew. You could have them visit the set or take them out to dinner or an event. We took The Broken Continent high-level backers to a night at Medieval Times. Offer experiences related to your film's subject and use your network. We offered some of our highest backers of The Broken Continent a personalized photo shoot with our film's marketing photographer. We paid for the makeup artist and the shoot and provided the costumes. We also offered sword fighting training sessions with our film's fight director.
