- Remember who your contributors are, your film's audience. You want your backers to stay happy and eagerly anticipate the completion of your film so they can watch it and tell others to watch it too. Make your film. Period. End of story. Your backers deserve this above everything else. As you go through the phases of your film's production, keep your backers updated as to its status and details of how things are going. You can use your crowdfunding platform update tool as well as email updates and social media. During pre-production, share videos of rehearsal or pictures of the costume design. During your shoot, have someone from your team designated to share some sneak peaks behind the set or write a daily production blog. During post-production, share how you pulled off your special effects or profile your music composer.
