- Building up to the start date of your film's crowdfunding campaign is crucial to your success. You should also take the opportunity to kick it off with strategy and style. As I said in an earlier movie, your campaign work should have started way before it's set to begin. In particular, I recommend sharing details about your upcoming campaign with your personal network, and through social media, including profiles of some of your cast and crew, perks that you will be offering, and images or videos you are using in your campaign. A great and fun way to get your campaign started and interact directly with potential backers is to host a kick off event. Launch your crowdfunding campaign at a themed kick off party, where you can meet potential contributors in person, and build morale and momentum amongst your cast, crew, and production team.
